2025-2026 Theme
Working Together for the Greater Good
We are strongest when we work together, as a team. Our fun symbol reflects that. Bees, butterflies, out camping. The symbols reflect the people and experiences important to Kurt and I.
2024-2025 Grand Chapter Projects
Masonic Institute for the Developing Brain
A unique facility studying the development of the brain from conception through adulthood
This is an amazing facility, with dedicated medical staff and researchers. Our project here is to enhance the space for those that work there as well as patients & research subjects.
The project here is to mount the fun woodland painting produced by Les Fordahl for our Grand East display on a wall, with a "I spy" chart, along with enhancing the diagnostic rooms for a better experience, and a small library collection for break time.
Service Dogs
Service Dogs-support of Helping Paws
This is an ongoing project that was started by General Grand Chapter. The goal is to raise money for Helping Paws in Minnesota who provides service dogs for Veterans.
Masonic Cancer Center at U of M
We continue to support the effort to develop treatments and cures for cancer.
We are supporting the work of Dr. Erin Marcotte as she continues her research in childhood cancer. She works in both adult, pediatric, and adolescent populations and was recruited to help in this area. Cancer survivorship and cancer prevention are intimately linked. She works closely with Dr. Turcotte and Dr. Blaes, both previous OES scholars.
Benefits will be held during the year for this worthwhile project
Grand Chapter Scholarships
We will continue our support for our three scholarship programs.
ESTARL: Available to any person pursing leadership in religious fields;
M. Josephine Rusham: Available to graduating high school seniors going into post-secondary education
Pat Rasmusson Continuing Education Scholarship: For students who are not covered by the other two scholarships, and which seeks to assist those students who often have no scholarship resources.
Minnesota Masonic Home
Our project here is to replace some raised garden beds used by residents, and to provide a source of chilled, filtered water for staff to refill their own water bottles.
Both the residents and staff of the Masonic Home are critical to the care environment, and the quality that OUR home is known for. These project will show our support for both the resident and caregive communities there.
