Lyra #166 hosted a Pancake Breakfast to support the OES Grand Chapter Service Dog Project with Helping Paws service dogs for Veterans. Even though it was a all-too-common Minnesota style stormy winter day, 50 people were served at the Alexandria VFW with their help. Two dogs in training attended; Brinley, with trainer Jane and and Humphrey with trainers Jordy and Beth. The VFW made a generous monetary donation of $1500. With that, other donations, and meals the total given to the combined Grand Chapter Service Dog project made this event a warm success.
